La Liga Bitcoin Betting: 38th La Liga Matchweek Preview

The last La Liga round is upon us and it promises to be an exciting one. The title race is still not decided even though Atletico are in the front seat. They had to come back against Osasuna and score twice in the last 15 minutes of the match to remain 1st on the table. Real Madrid won their game as well and are still challenging them for the title. However, it’s highly unlikely that Atletico will squander what they have, especially after being top for basically the whole season. The Catalans, on the other hand, are out of the race and they will finish 3rd regardless of what they do in the last round. All the Champions League spots are decided but there can still be changes when it comes to the Europa League. On top of that, we still don’t know who will join Eibar in relegation.

In the last round, anything can happen which is why Bitcoin Betting will be very popular. Below, we will cover the games that could change things on the table. First, we have Real Madrid hosting Villarreal. The holding champions can still win the title but they will need to defeat Villarreal while hoping Atletico slip up. However, the Yellow Submarine is fighting for a direct UEL spot so it won’t be easy. Next, we have Atletico away to Valladolid. The hosts are fighting to avoid relegation but Atletico have to win as the title depends on it. Lastly, we have Elche hosting Athletic Bilbao. Maybe if they win, Elche can remain in the Spanish top flight next season but they need other results to go their way too. For more information about La Liga, check their official website.

La Liga Predictions & Bitcoin Betting Tips

Real Madrid vs Villarreal

Real Madrid

With the H2H record, which is how La Liga (LL) is decided in the event of tied points on final day, sitting in Real Madrid’s favour, ‘Los Blancos’ will know that victory against Villarreal – coupled with Atlético failing to win their final game – will crown them as back-to-back kings of Spain and see Real became champions for a record 35th time. Undefeated in 17 straight LL games (W12, D5), you’d fancy Real to put Villarreal to the sword here. An efficient defence that has conceded just 0.67 goals per LL home match might be what gets them over the line, especially as eight of their 12 home league wins have come ‘to nil’ – seven by a 2-0 scoreline. They haven’t, however, kept a home clean sheet for four H2Hs running (W2, D1, L1).

Villarreal

A positive result here for Villarreal, with some favorable results elsewhere, will catapult them into the Europa League spots, ahead of their final in the same competition. After scoring past the 75th minute in four straight LL fixtures (W3, L1) they’re clearly willing to fight to the very end. A 2-0 victory in their previous away game was their fourth win from their last five away trips (W4, D1). Fast starts have been key for the ‘Yellow Submarine’, as no team has scored more away league goals in the opening 15 minutes than their ten, and subsequently they’ve netted the opener in 66.67% of their away games this season. Only Real can claim a better record.

Prediction

The Holding champions need a win here to keep up their title hopes alive. Maybe Atletico will slip up in the last round and Real Madrid can be champions. However, Villarreal needs a win here as well. With favorable results elsewhere, they could finish higher on the table, thus reaching a spot that will take them directly to the UEL. The first time they met this season, the fixture finished 1:1 and we might be looking at a similar outcome come Saturday. With that being said, we are backing a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.68 odds.

Real Madrid vs Villarreal

Valladolid vs Atletico Madrid

Valladolid

There’s plenty at stake at both ends in this one! For Valladolid, they need a win against their title-chasing visitors, and defeats for Huesca and Elche – or a draw for the latter – if they’re to pull off a miraculous La Liga (LL) escape. The prospects look slim though based on their current form of no win in 11 league matches (D6, L5). The final three of which ended in defeat by a margin of 2+ goals. A positive for the hosts is that they do tend to find the back of the net regularly at home, scoring in five of their previous six games (W1, D3, L2). However, their issues lie in that only one side has conceded more home goals than they have (1.56 per game) this season. A high proportion of those goals (64.29%) arrived after HT.

Atletico Madrid

The task is simple for Atlético Madrid, win here and they secure their first LL crown for seven years! But anything less opens the door for neighbors Real Madrid who hold the H2H advantage in the event of tied points. They should feel confident after five wins in their previous seven LL games (D1, L1), yet their fans aren’t likely to relax with more late drama potentially on the horizon, especially as there’s been seven goals after the 75th minute across Atlético’s last six matches. Another nervy facet for the visitors is that they have drawn three of their seven away games vs sides currently 13th or below (W4). Furthermore, the four victories they did manage went right to the wire and were ultimately settled by a one-goal margin.

Prediction

Valladolid need to win this one and hope that both Huesca and Elche lose so they can avoid relegation. However, for them to win, they need to attack. Atletico, on the other hand, have to win this fixture or they possibly lose the title. They have a lot of problems with teams that only defend but Valladolid won’t be able to do that. They have to score which means Atletico will punish them and win the game. For that reason, we are backing a – 0.75 Asian Handicap outcome @ 1.43 odds.

Valladolid vs Atletico Madrid

Elche vs Athletic Bilbao

Elche

If 18th placed Elche are to stay in La Liga (LL) they must hope Huesca drop points, and that they better the result of their relegation rivals on this final matchday. The end-of-season quirks don’t end there though, as if Huesca lose, Elche draw (therefore bettering the result), but Valladolid win – then Elche will still go down! However two losses ‘to nil’ from their last two home outings, which ended a three-game run of scoring before HT here, will be discouraging. Their crucial win at Cádiz last weekend bucked an ongoing trend of Elche LL games, in which just two of their last 11 LL matches have produced more than 2.5 total goals. Despite such low scoring, only one of those 11 games have recorded a scoreless first half, whilst six have seen the winner take victory courtesy of a 2+ goal margin.

Athletic Bilbao

A fourth consecutive season with no European football has already been confirmed for Athletic Bilbao who will finish in midtable obscurity once again. The visitors’ previous meeting with Elche was one of eight matches involving the club this season to have ended in a 1-0 scoreline, whilst two-thirds of their 24 LL games this season with a winner have included a one-goal margin. The post-mortem on their failed season will need to determine what went wrong away from home, where they won just 10% of LL visits as underdogs (W1, D5, L4). Thanks in part to 13 LL away games in which they conceded after HT, Athletic hold one of the league’s poorest travelling records even when opening the scoring (W3, D3, L1).

Prediction

Since they failed to reach a European spot once again, Bilbao won’t really have what to play for in this one. Elche, on the other hand, are still hoping that they could avoid relegation. They need a win (a draw would be enough if both Valladolid and Huesca lose) but other results need to go their way as well. Valladolid will most likely lose but Huesca could get a positive result and destroy Elche’s hopes. Nevertheless, Elche are slight favorites to win this one. For that reason, we are backing a Home Side Victory @ 1.90 odds.
