Bundesliga Bitcoin Betting: 31st Bundesliga Matchweek Preview

With three rounds to go, we still can’t imagine how the final standings will look in the German top flight. The only thing we know is that the Bavarians remain champions for yet another season. Leipzig will likely finish 2nd as they currently have a seven point advantage. Their performances haven’t been great lately but we don’t expect them to lose all remaining games. Wolfsburg and Eintracht are still in the TOP 4 but Dortmund are now making a charge to take one of those two spots. Frankfurt have lost twice while Wolfsburg have lost three times in the last five rounds, opening the door for Dortmund. They sit 5th, one point below Eintracht and two points below Wolfsburg. So, Dortmund need to win all their remaining games and hope that either Wolfsburg or Frankfurt drop points in at least one game until the end of the season.

Since things are so close in the fight for a TOP 4 finish, we expect Bitcoin Betting to be extremely popular during these last rounds. Below, we will review the three fixtures of the 32nd round that could impact the Bundesliga table the most. First, we have a derby between Dortmund and Leipzig. This is a game that the hosts have to win if they hope to finish in the TOP 4. However, Leipzig are one of the best teams in the league and beating them will be tough. Next, we have Wolfsburg at home against Union Berlin in a match they need to win. Wolfsburg can’t afford to drop more points because they could potentially lose their TOP 4 spot. Lastly, we have Frankfurt who are in the same position hosting Mainz on Sunday. For more information about the Bundesliga, check their official website.

Bundesliga Predictions & Bitcoin Betting Tips

Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig

Dortmund

Priority for the Bundesliga’s fifth-placed side Borussia Dortmund is Champions League qualification during this dress rehearsal for next Thursday’s DFB-Pokal final. In fine form, they’ve now won four consecutive competitive fixtures – three of them ‘to nil’ – while scoring an average of 2.5 first-half goals per game. However, having netted in every home league match this campaign (W9, D2, L4), 23 (67.65%) of their 34 Bundesliga goals this season at Signal Iduna Park came after HT. Dortmund could profit from going ahead as they currently own a W7, D1, L1 record when scoring first here this term while none of their nine home Bundesliga wins this season came via less than a two-goal margin.

Leipzig

Seven points behind leaders Bayern Munich amid a sequence of two wins in five league matches (D1, L2), RB Leipzig might rue a costly loss of form at a vital time as the Bundesliga title continues to prove elusive – particularly as they haven’t beaten Dortmund in six attempts (D2, L4). Despite that, the visitors will strive to get ahead at the break as they’ve won all 11 Bundesliga games this term in which they led at HT. Encouragingly – having lost just two first halves in away league matches – only Bayern have bettered Leipzig’s overall away record this term (W8, D4, L3). Yet to concede in either the first 15 minutes or after the 75th minute on the road this season, they’ve drawn all four Bundesliga away games against sides that began this matchday in the top six.

Prediction

Here we have two equal sides when it comes to squad strength. However, while the Red Bull side has been having a good season, the same can’t be said for Dortmund. More was expected from Dortmund with Haaland in their team but they are still out of the TOP 4 with just three rounds remaining. Nevertheless, if they can defeat Leipzig, things can change drastically for Dortmund and they can finish the season on a high note. On the other hand, if they lose, their chances of finishing in the TOP 4 will be close to zero. With that being said, we are backing an Over 2.75 Goals outcome @ 1.71 odds.

Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig

Wolfsburg vs Union Berlin

Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg’s faltering four-game form (W1, L3) has them in danger of losing their grip on third place, and therefore the opportunity to finish higher than they’ve managed in the previous five seasons. With the eventual match winner scoring within the first 15 minutes in all four of those matches, it’s clear a good start could get them back on track as they chase Champions League football next season for the first time since 2015/16. That looks especially true at home, where the first scorer has gone unbeaten in the last 11 competitive games played at the Volkswagen Arena. That includes consecutive HT/FT defeats for Wolfsburg in their last two outings here, a run that puts the ‘Wolves’ in danger of three home losses in a row for the first time in over three years.

Union Berlin

While the odds are in their favor to avoid that fate, they face a tricky opponent in Union Berlin that have gone unbeaten in 77.42% of their Bundesliga fixtures this term (W11, D13, L7), and have European ambitions of their own. Union still have an outside chance of making a European spot but will surely need to go one better than the previous two H2Hs – both of which ended 2-2 – despite the fact they scored in all four halves of football played. Lightning looks unlikely to strike for a third time though as Union haven’t scored in both halves for nine consecutive away games (W2, D2, L5), and only twice opened the scoring during that period. Berlin need to win this game and if luck is on their side, we might see them in Europe next season.

Prediction

This has been a fantastic season for Union Berlin who got promoted to the Bundesliga last season. Many had them set for relegation, instead they are fighting for a European spot. Wolfsburg haven’t been able to beat them in the last two meetings as both games finished 2:2. All of this shows that regardless of the fact that Wolfsburg have a better team, this will be a tough game. Wolfsburg’s form has been awful lately and it won’t be a huge surprise if they end up dropping points here. For that reason, we are backing a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.82 odds.

Wolfsburg vs Union Berlin

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Mainz

Frankfurt

Eintracht Frankfurt remain within reach of their most successful Bundesliga season (in terms of ranking) in nearly 30 years and their maiden UEFA Champions League berth as a result. Despite suffering two defeats within a three-game period for the first time during their 2020/21 league campaign, two remaining favorable home ties – where they still remain undefeated (W9, D6) – should see them over the line. When starting as favorites, Frankfurt’s win rate at home this Bundesliga campaign has been superb – 66.67% (W6, D3) – and it improves only further to 71.43% (W5, D2) when hosting clubs in the bottom half of the table at the start of the round – four opponents of which succumbed to two-goal margins.

Mainz

Now looking extremely likely to survive the drop, Mainz are the only team in the Bundesliga undefeated across their last eight matches (W5, D3), collecting more points than all but Bayern Munich during that stint. Defensively strong of late, their three clean sheets earned in that period exceeds the two collected in their prior 25 league outings dating back to 2019/20. Notably, their last eight Bundesliga wins this season have all come courtesy of a one-goal margin. In six of those eight matches without defeat, the HT result has been replicated at the final whistle and with ten of Mainz’s 13 Bundesliga away trips – with at least one goal scored – won by the team to score first (W10, D2, L1), a sharp start appears crucial here. Having opened the scoring inside 20 minutes in their last three away league encounters, they have certainly demonstrated their capabilities of late.

Prediction

Eintracht are favorites to win this fixture. They have more quality and the home side advantage is on their side as well. Dortmund are on their tails and if Frankfurt drop points again, it’s highly likely that they will lose their TOP 4 position. They need to win all remaining games to be certain of Champions League football next season. The first time they met this season, Eintracht walked away with a comfortable 0:2 victory. We expect something similar to happen on Sunday. For that reason, we are backing a Home Side Victory @ 1.78 odds.
