Bundesliga Bitcoin Betting: 31st Bundesliga Matchweek Preview

Four rounds to go in the Bundesliga and the Bavarians need just two points to officially be crowned champions. Their win over Leverkusen in the last round sealed the deal even though other results went their way as well. We are saying this because Leipzig managed to drop points once again. That’s now the 3rd time in the last five rounds that the Red Bull side has failed to win a Bundesliga match. The title race is now over for them but if they don’t improve, Leipzig are putting their 2nd spot in jeopardy as well. However, the most interesting thing in the German top flight now is the battle for the 4th and last UCL spot. Dortmund are making their final challenge while Wolfsburg and Frankfurt have been dropping points left and right. If this trend continues, Dortmund just might reach the the TOP 4.

Bundesliga Matchweek 31

The Top 6 hasn’t been so close in the Bundesliga in ages. Even though Bayern will be champions again, Bitcoin Betting will still be incredibly popular for the rest of the fixtures. Below, we will cover the three games that could impact the table standings the most. First, we have a derby that could potentially decide the TOP 4 race. Wolfsburg are hosting Dortmund in what could be the most important fixture of the season for both sides. Next, we have another derby, this time between Leverkusen and Frankfurt. The visitors need to win if they hope to keep their spot in the TOP 4. Last but not least, we have the Red Bull side hosting Stuttgart. This is a perfect opportunity for Leipzig to finally return to winning ways. For more information about the Bundesliga, check their official website.

Bundesliga Predictions & Bitcoin Betting Tips

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund

Wolfsburg

A 3-1 win at Stuttgart means Wolfsburg still have a comfortable cushion inside the Bundesliga’s Champions League places despite suffering consecutive defeats prior to their midweek success. Oliver Glasner’s men conceded 3+ goals in both of those losses, yet they’ve still got the second-lowest ‘goals against’ average in the division (1.00 per game), although including those two defeats, they’ve now lost their previous three league encounters in which they trailed at HT. On the theme of that solid defense, it’s worth highlighting that the three goals Bayern scored in Wolfsburg’s last home league game ended an impressive run of five home clean sheets, and that fixture also handed the hosts their only Bundesliga defeat at the Volkswagen Arena this season (W9, D4). Meanwhile in attack, seven of the most recent ten home goals that ‘Die Wölfe’ have scored arrived after HT.

Borussia Dortmund

Champions League-chasing Borussia Dortmund are in good form after three straight Bundesliga wins in which they netted 2+ goals, yet the pressure is on as this is a must-win game if they’re to reduce the five-point game between the two sides. However, they’ve not won four consecutive league games since October, and have won just one of their seven away matches vs sides in the division’s top half ahead of this gameweek (D1, L5). One big positive for ‘BVB’ is their impressive 100% record at the Volkswagen Arena across their previous five visits. They led at HT in all five of those, and kept a clean sheet in the previous three. Dortmund finally have an opportunity to reach the TOP 4 and secure a UCL spot. However, they have to win every remaining game, including this derby against Wolfsburg.

Prediction

Squad wise, Dortmund are favorites here; however, they haven’t been playing as such during the whole season. They are four points below the TOP 4 and time is running out. Wolfsburg have been doing a much better job than them but their schedule is awful in these last rounds. The met Frankfurt, then Bayern and lost both games but returned to winning ways in the last one. Wolfsburg need to win this or at least play to a draw if they are to protect their TOP 4 spot. With that being said, we are backing an Over 2.75 Goals outcome @ 1.71 odds.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt

Leverkusen

Defeat at Bayern in midweek means you must go back to mid-January to find the last time a game involving Bayer Leverkusen witnessed the team that scored first lose in regulation time, although the last time that happened was in a cup clash between these two sides! That ended in a 4-1 win for Leverkusen, and seven straight H2Hs have now witnessed the home side on the day win and over 2.5 match goals. With 11 of Leverkusen’s 15 Bundesliga home games also witnessing over 2.5 goals, and five of the previous six seeing both teams score (W3, D1, L2), another goal-filled game looks likely. The first strike may come early too, as Leverkusen have scored a league-high eight opening goals at home within the first 30 minutes.

Frankfurt

Four wins from Eintracht Frankfurt’s last five games has strengthened their Champions League place charge as they seek to qualify for Europe’s premier club competition for the first time since 1959/60 – a season that saw them lose in the final to Real Madrid! They can now boast their joint-best win rate (50%) after 30 top-flight rounds for nearly four decades, and have trailed at HT on just four occasions this campaign (HT: W13, D13, L4). Indifferent five-game away form (W2, D1, L2) makes Frankfurt hard to predict here, although an action-packed game is expected as they’ve witnessed an average of 3.60 goals per road trip this season – far above the Bundesliga average ahead of this round (2.99).

Prediction

Leverkusen were once a Top 4 contender but it looks that that’s out of their reach now. However, they still need to get points in these last four rounds because their TOP 6 finish is jeopardized. Frankfurt are being chased by Dortmund so they need three points here as well. All of that guarantees that this fixture will be excellent. Backing any side to win is risky and it doesn’t offer enough value. For that reason, we are backing a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.45 odds.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Eintracht Frankfurt

RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart

Leipzig

After dropping points in three of their last four Bundesliga games (W1, D1, L2), including a damaging loss to Bayern, RB Leipzig appear to have squandered the chance of a first-ever title. Of great concern for Leipzig will be that they have failed to score in their last two outings at home (D1, L1), after being held scoreless in just two of the prior 26 league fixtures at any venue in 2020/21. It’s hard to blame their defense though, who have faced no more than three shots on target in a game to anyone but the league leaders across their last seven Bundesliga matches (W3, D2, L2), and have conceded more than one goal just once in that period. Such stoic defending has seen them trail only to Bayern at HT in those seven games, including four 0-0 HT results.

Stuttgart

Their unbeaten all-time record against Stuttgart (W4, D1) could remain intact thanks to the dreadful recent defending of the visitors, who have conceded 12 goals in their last five league outings. Also conceding the opening goal within 20 minutes in three of the four defeats in that time, Stuttgart’s run for a European place has come to a grinding halt. But despite Stuttgart’s ten away goals conceded within the first 30 minutes – amongst the most in the league – they retain one of the division’s most successful win/draw rates as a travelling outsider (W3, D2, L3), as well as one of the Bundesliga’s best away records when scoring first (W5, D1, L1). Stuttgart had a very good run until about a month ago when things turned bad. Now the best they can do is win a couple of points until the season is over.

Prediction

Leipzig are strong favorites to win here. They have a better squad and are playing this fixture at home. However, Leipzig haven’t been at their best lately and their advantage over Wolfsburg and Frankfurt is slowly getting smaller. This is a game that the Red Bull side has to win in order to ensure that they finish 2nd on the table. With the title race now over, Leipzig won’t be playing under pressure which means they should be able to win this game. For that reason, we are backing a Home Side Victory @ 1.41 odds.
