With the International break behind them, Serie A players can return to the title race. After the last round, Inter have quite the lead on the table as they came one step closer towards their first title in years. It was a tough fixture against Torino but Inter eventually got all three points. They now have a six point lead on the table with a game in hand as well. Milan, on the other hand, managed to return to winning ways in the last round but it seems that they have lost their footing in the title race. The same goes for Juventus, who are now trailing Inter by 10 points. They lost to Benevento in the last round which was embarrassing for a team of their caliber. Lastly, we have to mention Atalanta who won against Verona and are now sitting 4th on the table.
The 29th Serie A round will be extremely interesting because all ten fixtures are being played on the same day. That’s why, we expect Bitcoin Betting to be extremely popular over the weekend. Below, we will review the three fixtures that could impact the table the most. First, we have AC Milan at home against Sampdoria. This is a game that Milan have to win to keep even their title bid alive. Next, Juventus are playing against their city rivals Torino. The hosts are trying to avoid relegation which means they will make things tough for Juventus who are in a bad position as well. The title race will surely be over if they drop points on Saturday. Lastly, we have the table leaders in an away fixture against Bologna, a game they have to win. For more information about Serie A, check their official website.

AC Milan vs Sampdoria
A 3-2 win at Fiorentina saw Milan gain further advantage in the hunt for a Serie A (SA) podium finish, and snapped their winless run at three competitive games (D1, L2). The ’Rossoneri’ have now registered more points than they managed at the conclusion of three of their previous seven SA seasons, and have won a league-high 16 matches when leading at HT. They have, however, hit some bumps at home recently after registering a five-game winless run (D2, L3). Milan conceded first in four of those matches, with the last two conceded openers curiously arriving in the 49th minute! Additionally, they have gained only 37.29% of their total SA points tally at home, which is the second-worst rate amongst all teams. Milan have to win this game in hopes their title run lasts for a bit longer.
Sampdoria returned to the top half by beating Torino last time out, ending their five-game winless run in the process (D2, L3). The visitors will be keen to start well though, as they’ve won each of their previous six SA matches in which they opened the scoring. However, the ’Blucerchiati’ must be vigilant during the first 30 minutes of the second half as that’s when they’ve conceded 42.86% (18) of their 42 SA ‘goals against’. Whilst the visitors have lost four of their six SA away matches against teams currently above them (W2), they did net a first-half opener in both wins. That said, Sampdoria have failed to score a first-half goal in every H2H held here bar one since 2008/09 (W2, D2, L7). Sampdoria are a mid-table team and they will remain there regardless of the outcome of this fixture.
Based on current form and standings, Milan are strong favorites to win this fixture. They still have a lot of injuries in their squad but their main players are back. Milan should have enough quality to defeat Sampdoria. With home turf advantage on their side, anything but three points will be disappointing. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Milan barely won 1:2 but now they play at home and things should be easier. With that being said, we are backing a Home Side Victory @ 1.53 odds.
AC Milan vs Sampdoria
Torino vs Juventus
Winners in just one of the last 31 editions of the Derby della Mole (W1, D6, L24), relegation-threatened Torino have lost three (W1) of their previous four Serie A (SA) matches. In turn, they will continue to play with self-preservation in mind, and have notably drawn here in a league-high seven matches, with six producing a level HT score. Furthermore, six of Torino’s previous seven SA home matches have stood goalless at HT, with Torino failing to score here before the break since the end of November. That is unlikely to change for the better in this clash, especially as Juventus are the only SA side yet to concede a single goal inside the 16th-30th minute period. Torino almost took points from Juventus in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. With home turf on their side, they will surely try to do it once again.
However, Juventus’ recent shock defeat to Benevento dented their title challenge, and the ‘Bianconeri’ spent the recent international break ten points adrift of title favorites Internazionale. Additionally, Juventus have registered less than their current 16-win tally by this stage just once during their previous nine title-winning campaigns. The most relevant portion of their away form offers some encouragement though, and the ’Bianconeri’ have won five (D2) of their seven SA away matches against teams starting this round tenth or lower. All of those five wins saw the visitors win by 2+ goals and open the scoring, doing the latter inside the first 30 minutes four times. Juventus are ten points behind and anything except a win will be unacceptable. They need to win every game until the end of the season and hope everything else goes their way.
Regardless of the current situation, Juventus are strong favorites to win this fixture. Their city rivals have been unable to challenge them at all over the last ten seasons. However, now that they are in a relegation battle, Torino have to try and get a positive outcome on Saturday. Juventus, on the other hand, can’t drop any points until the end of the season. They need to win all the remaining games and then hope that Inter drops points. For that reason, we are backing an Away Side Victory @ 2.06 odds.
Torino vs Juventus
Bologna vs Inter Milan
The hosts have lost just two of their last eight (L2) Serie A (SA) matches (W4, D2), giving them a decent chance of a second top-half finish in three seasons. Scoring exactly three goals in both previous wins and curiously netting exactly in the 70th minute each time, the come-from-behind victory last time out marked the sixth occasion this SA season to see Bologna claim at least a point after conceding first (W3, D3). The hosts have won three of their last five SA home matches. However, they have lost four (W1, D1) of their six top-flight encounters here vs current top-eight sides, conceding 4+ goals in two. Eight of Bologna’s 12 goals ‘against’ in those four losses arrived before HT. Bologna are having a good season per their standards. However, Inter might have too much quality for them.
Internazionale’s march towards their first SA title since 2010 continues, with the ’Nerazzurri’ recently registering eight straight top-flight victories for the second time this season. A significant 62.5% (five) of those wins saw Inter open the scoring during the first half. Yet, the last three wins all came via a nervy one-goal margin after a goalless first half to mark a league-high nine victories after a drawn first period. The visitors are unbeaten on the road in eight competitive matches (W4, D4 – 90 mins), trailing at HT just once during the run. Additionally, Inter have netted at least once beyond the hour mark in their last three SA away outings (W3, D/L0), winning the second half in ten such matches, including the last four in a row. This is a game where Inter can’t afford to drop any points.
Inter are absolute favorites to win this fixture. They have more quality and are also challenging to win the Serie A title for the first time in years. Teams like Bologna shouldn’t bother them especially when they are so close to lifting the trophy. Inter have a six points advantage and a game in hand which means their advantage is good but they are not uncatchable. That’s why, they can’t allow themselves to drop points against Bologna, even though they are playing away from home. With that being said, we are backing a – 0.75 Asian Handicap outcome @ 1.54 odds.
